Of All The Days....
...I'm convinced that I have a major chemical imbalance. I cry way too easily. One moment I'll be giggling, the next I'll be crying. One moment I'll be as happy as can be, the next....I'll be angry for no reason. My mama - as many emotional breakdowns as she has, bless her heart - is more stable that ME! My friend is FAR more emotionally stable than me, and we're the same age.
Like I said...I'm imbalanced. Hugely. =) And by the way, that's no joke about laughing one moment and crying the next...ask my family. Of all days, it happens on the worst....
On a different note...*pauses* I believe I also suffer from "Subject Imbalance"...hm.
Anyway, we've been doing this Scripture memorization for church, and so far, I've got three down. (One short...I'm supposed to have four...:)
2 Corinthians 5:17:
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
Galatians 2:20:
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."
Romans 12:1:
"Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship."
I like those. :) You know....it's funny how we can memorize a quote from a movie in one quick hearing, but memorizing SCRIPTURE proves to be a bit harder, doesn't it? =.= That just goes to show you how our fallen minds work....

That's a This, You Keep Those....
Anyeonghasao!
(Which means "Hello!" in Korean!)
Ah....I've been good. Learning bits of Korean, having fun with it, and simply enjoying all the 'yo's at the end. =D
Been taking piano lessons - going well!
Happily enough, I believe Winter may be melting! The sun is out right now, warming the ground and causing it to cry, making little trickles of water coarse through the dead grass. Robins are singing away, ruffling feathers. The pasture is a mud hole right now, squelching under the horses' heavy hooves. Patches of snow are beginning to cry, a breeze whispers to the mountains.
I'm listening to the National Treasure soundtrack right now. It's ssoooo cool! I love it! AH! A wonderful, wonderful piece of music. =)
Not too much has been going on. Life in general. I've been kinda down lately. Part of it's winter, part of it's not. Some things I can lay my finger on, others I can't. I want to see my friend again, for one thing...and I want spring to get here, for another! Ah well...life must go on. I was looking in the mirror the other day and told myself, "Are you ridiculous? Give yourself a break! You've been having way too many emotional melt - downs for no reason, girl. Ah. That's it. It's because you're a GIRL!" Yes, true, true. Oh well. Being a girl is fun. Too many emotions to dish out that guys just can't understand. I'm sure it's the same for guys. :)
I cleaned out my desk drawers the other day and had quite a laugh. It was about 7:00 at night, and I was sitting there on the floor, surrounded in mounds of magazines, papers, folders; all sorts of stuff. I had all three of my lamps on, and it was dark outside. I giggled like you wouldn't believe! I've got notes in there that I and one of my friends passed each other during...ahem...church, *naughty, I know...* and some of them were HILARIOUS! All of them were from almost 4 years ago, maybe more! I had a bunch of really old drawings, and a ton of cut-out pictures of G.I. Joe's Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. They're ninjas, by the way. I used to be crazy over them. =) I had a bunch of little hand-written stories about them from over 2-3 years ago that I found, and some hilarious little drawings. It was so fun looking back through it all. I threw a trash-bag load of stuff away, but just couldn't let go of some of it. :) (You know me....)
Anyway, I got it all arranged nicely. Neat Junk, as some would call it. It was nice. It gave me a laugh, and I needed one.
Oooh well. I suppose I'll skip off and do something else in the cyber-world...probably type an e-mail of randomness to some unfortunate friend. =)
I'll post again later!
Annyeong! Goodbye!
Love,
-Han
P.S. God is so good...have you prayed lately?

On and On and ON....
On, and on, and on. Winter never seems to stop once it starts, does it?
It's your normal Monday morning...with the exception of mom in the kitchen making peanut butter cookies. Some friends are coming over for a sewing session soon. Any time now, by a glance at the clock.
Nothing too exciting has happened. Just the same old routine of life. I did, however, the other day, rearrange some things on my desk/dresser. It looks very nice now. :) I also hung up my first bulletin board, which is already covered in an array of gadgets, papers and photos that describe my personality. This was inspired by my dear friend, who has three. 0.0 (I don't think I shall be going that far!)
Max has been a total brat lately. He's testing his limits and seeing how close he can invade our personal space, and naturally, just being a little boy horse trying to intimidate.
Needless to say, he's scheduled for a visit from the vet this coming month.............
Silkie has also joined right in. She's been as much as a brat, even more, than Max. Example? She won't let Belle eat any hay and chases her out of the barn. It must be this Winter weather....it has this effect on many people, doesn't it?
Anyway...I suppose I'll go and grab a bite of cookie dough before our friends arrive. Maybe that'll cheer me up! =D
Goodbye!

The Sights, Sounds & Smells of a Saturday Morning...
I smell the yummy, fresh aroma of newly brewed coffee coming from the kitchen. I'm highly tempted by this scent to go and pour me some, in my favorite Japanese mug.
This morning, dad and I went out to work at the barn, as my brother is MIA. He went to pick up some straw for the girls and I stayed to clean the stalls. The cold air revealed my breaths in puffs of white, and I could hear the horses stamping heavy hooves outside, swishing tails, snorting. The smell of freshly opened feed drifted out from the tack room, and hay from the loft. After opening the bags of shavings to freshen each stall up, the scent of pine chips became very strong.
Winter is dwindling away. The robins have come back, pecking around our back yard. It's so nice to hear he birds again! Tiny little red buds are edging up from the branches, but they won't bloom for quite a while yet. The air is still cold and cutting. I can't wait for Spring...lovely Spring. May is probably my favorite. I'm really, really looking forward to May....
As Winter begins to draw to a close, I'll kinda miss my over-sized hoodies and toboggans...it's so nice to snuggle into one of those at the end of a cold day.
I want to go to Akita. I know that's a random thought, but, it struck me. =) I want to go to Tazawako Lake in Senboku, Akita. That would be so...ah...nice. *sighs* I'd also like to go to Tokyo, of course, and Kyoto...and yes, I know they're all hundreds of miles apart. But those are the three places I want to see! I'll have to keep wishing....
Today's been good. My animals are so cute. :) I love them so much!!!!!!!!

Simple Woman's Daybook
Wow, I haven't done one of these in a while! I'm gonna do one, right now!
FOR TODAY: January 17, 2011
Outside my window… Gray and cold. A faint breeze is stirring the tops of the pines, whispering to them strange secrets and carrying the scent of the mountains.I am thinking… About how to type my words and make them flow like a blotch of ink that just escaped onto fine paper, leaving a smudge that somehow adds character.
I am thankful for… God's word to me and everyone else. That I can rely on Him no matter what, and that He hears my prayers.
From the kitchen… Silence. Nothing but the little noises such as the hum of the heater, the tik-tik-tok of that annoying clock...
I am wearing… Knee-length gray, ruffled skirt with black leggings, my fuzzy pink socks with snowflakes, and my Old Navy deep blue hoodie that I simply love.
I am creating… Well, my friend just got me inspired to re-decorate my room...which is probably what I'll be doing. =)
I am going… Nowhere. I'm here in my home, safe and warm.
I am currently reading... R.J. Rushdoony: Roots of Reconstruction, parts of Matthew Henry's Commentary, Sherlock Holmes, and my Bible. Oh, and Learning to Read and Write Japanese. =)
I am hoping… To see my dear friend soon...I miss her. :)
I am hearing…. The clock and the keyboard, both of which tick on and on.
On my mind…. This blog post.
Noticing that… I'm changing in lots of little ways that I can't quite put my finger on.
Around the house… In fairly good shape. Mom and I are going to tackle the den tomorrow, seeing as last week we tackled the kitchen and it is TOTALLY clean! I sat her down and said, "Okay, mom, you have THREE crockpots...one must go." And we did that all around the kitchen. It's very clean and organized now. One thing about it: when I'm married and have my own home, IT! WILL! BE! CLEAN! =D =D =D
One of my favorite things… My friend's voice on the other line. Snuggling into my slightly messy but oh-so-cozy bed every night after a long day. Hugging my horses and kissing their soft, fuzzy noses.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: School, school, school SCHOOL! Oh, and my brother's 15th Birthday tomorrow. =) Happy Birthday, Nate!
A picture(s) to share:..
Reverie
Yes...I've been in one, lately. Mom bought me some new pens, and I've color-coded what I write. If I write in purple, I'm in a reverie moment or longing for something. If pink, I'm in a happy, giddy mood. Red, ANGRY! =) Blue, normal, cool, calm. Turquoise, ticked off. Deep red, upset. And green, a weird, not-quite-sure mood.
So far, almost ever thing has been pink or purple...mostly purple. :S
Just a lot of different stuff. Life. Friends. God. All sorts of stuff. I've recently run across several verses that caught my attention, for one reason or another:
1 John 4:10-11:
"In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent HIs Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."
1 John 5:14-16:
"This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests in which we have asked from Him. If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this."
1 Corinthians 9:25-27:
"Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we are imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified."
1 Corinthians 13:4-8:
"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seeks its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away, if there are gifts of tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away."
1 Timothy 2:1-7:
"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of truth."
Those are to just mention a few.
I want to grow closer to God. Sometimes it's pretty hard; but He didn't say it'd be easy, did He? :) I want my friends to grow with me. I want to encourage them just as much as I want them to encourage me.
Today's been kinda sleepy. It's gray and gloomy, and COLD! Also today, we got a giagantor egg that looks like it came from a goose or something! 0.0 And yesterday, we got FOURTEEN eggs! YAY! Ah...I love my girls. :) That's now officially what I call them. =D
I suppose I'll go. Tootle-pip and all that good stuff.
Always Fighting,

A VERY Big Blast!!!
This morning, Nathan and I decided to to sledding and took Rebekah along. We went in the pasture (AFTER locking the horses up...), and were out there for about an hour and a half. It was FUN! WOOHOO! Ooooh boy...I'm still tired. We came in and mom fixed us some hot chocolate. *yum...*
We managed to acquire all sorts of bruises and knots, and I even managed to get my hand run over. :S But we had a BLAST! YAAAAAYYY!!!
I haven't been sledding in a long time, so this was great. If you listen carefully on the video, right before I go sledding with Bekah, you can hear me quoting Ice Age:
me: "Are you ready for adventure?"
bekah: "Yes sir!"
me: "For 'courage'?" (that's actually not what he says...I couldn't remember!)
bekah: "Yes sir!"
me: "For DEATH?"
bekah: "...um, could you repeat that last question?"
We had a great time! Enjoy the photos!
Always Fighting,
