Sweaty Fun!

Extreme sweaty fun! Last night, my mom, myself, Bekah and Nathan went to a graduation party for a friend at church - we had a blast! It was in a park, and we all had the best time. I got to do a photo shoot with a friend, run around, and then, we got to do Postie's Jig! AH! *faint*
Postie's is one of my absolute favorite, and since the dance is next week, this was good practice! My mom took the video, but right when the fun started, the battery died. :P Oh well...
Enjoy it! And to all my sweaty, sticky friends, FIGHTING!

Of Notebooks, Elves, and Life

Photo from Google Images

Yes, I'm an elf lover, a dragon tamer, and a journeying writer that sometimes dives headlong into fantasy. I go through spells like that, you know?
There's something very attractive about elves... and dragons. I'm a dragon maniac. Yes, I am. I love dragons. I think they're amazing - and yes, I do believe that they were in existence. Some fearsome, fire-breathing - others gentle and big babies. ^.^ I'd love to own a dragon.

I had mentioned several posts back a notebook that I acquired sometime ago  -  this is it! I love this thing! And here's a few photos of what I like to put in it...

Yes... I enjoy doing things like this. :)
Yesterday, when I went to feed the horses, Silkie had gone buckwild, so I took a whole bunch of pictures of her. Crazy horse... (WARNING: Kids, don't try this at home... it could get you killed, like I almost have countless times.... =.= The things us photographers will do for a good picture.)

And here's my Max! Hasn't he grown! *faint* I love my boy! I was standing there petting him, and he turns around and snorts at me, as I had been relating to him my stressful day, and I pat his head sympathetically, "I gotcha boy..." I could of sworn he blinked at me with a dull expression...
Yes, yes... life is good. Slightly stressful and lots of headaches, but good.
Oh - and I got my hair cut the other day... the lady practically chopped it off! It's the shortest it's ever been! I don't have any pictures... yet. I'll try to get some!

Life is good, and God is good. I also go a Prayer Journal, which I'm already in love with - I can keep a recored of the people/things I pray for, and on the side, I have an "Answered:" section, where I can write down the date He answered. Amazing! I write down my prayers in it... so... hopefully, one day I can look back and see an answer to some of my most fervent ones. :) Get a journal!
Praise Him for our blessings!

Glasses!

Hey! Look! I got glasses today! I like 'em! In fact, I'm wearing them now. Nathan gave me the "Who are you!?" look when I walked in the door, and just now told me I look like a younger Baroness from G.I. Joe. ^.^

We went to Walmart to pick them up, and looked around for a little while. I got a cute top, some lounge pants, and a prayer journal.
Eeek! Another change! Where's my life going!? *faint* I won't have to wear them all the time - just for driving/distance. ^.^

I took a whole bunch of pictures for you to see... hope you don't mind. On demand by some of my friends, here they are!

Summer Walks

I went for a walk this morning and absolutely loved it! I told myself, "I'm going to go for a walk with Jesus." That's what I did. It was great!
The temperature is wonderful, and the breeze was ecstasy. I took 79 pictures just on that walk!
I talked to God about all sorts of stuff... my friends, my family, life, people across the world, and, yeah, my future husband. ^.^ I've actually been thinking about him a lot lately...
I went down to the river and sat there on a warm rock, feet splashing in the cold mountain water that rushed by. I kept wishing my best friend was there - we'd be having such a good time!
Ah, and I can't forget to mention that I was thinking about my Birthday next month. ... NEXT MONTH!? *faint* Uhg... my last month of being 16. And I say goodbye to sweet and sour sixteen. Kinda sad, actually. (I'm in the mood... listening to Secret Garden through my earbuds...)
The sun was warm on my face, and I sat back, closed my eyes, and listened to the rushing, gurgling water. I was in a cascade of thoughts, just as beautiful and as cold as the water that rushed over the rocks. Not sad thoughts... but very, very thoughtful thoughts. (That's my term for them...)
Thoughtful thoughts.
My mind was rushing just like that river. Jesus, prayer, friends, songs, family, Prince Charming, prayer subjects, older brothers, Heaven, drama, love, life.
It was all there - cascading, slipping away, all in a white foam and cold. Amazingly cold, yet beautiful. Lovely, yet foggy.
I enjoyed it so much. I loved it. I treasured it in my heart.

Where does life go? What is time, this strange stuff, that runs through our fingers like air?
Why is it so beautiful, yet so painful sometimes?
I love it. This stuff... I love it. My life becomes like drama.

The people in my world... I can say to them from "Remember When it Rained",
"Tears of hope run down my skin... tears for you that will not dry."

They are of hope... and they will not dry.
I am a warrior, and I don't fight alone.
"Don't cry - it may seem like you're alone, but look around you; you're not the only one."
Baby, don't cry. I'll smile if I do.
Because life is beautiful... because life is His.

Definition of "Cute"

I took this picture of my little buddy at church. He actually put on the pink glasses without having to tie him down. ^.^
He's the definition of "cute", and I think he'll grow up to be a fine young man!

Love ya, buddy!

The Difference Prayer Makes

"I got up early one morning
And rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I didn't take time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me,
And heavier came each task;
"Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered.
He answered: "You didn't ask."

I wanted to see joy and beauty -
But the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn't show me,
He said, "But you didn't seek."

I tried to come into God's presence,
I used all my keys on the lock;
God gently and lovingly chided:
"My child, you didn't knock."

I woke up early this morning
And paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray."

I love this poem. I adore it. It's so true!

No Doubt

Whew! Well, last night dad and I went to the church because the "White Rose Society" was having their last conference there for their Father/Daughter weekend.
After we got there, and I had chatted with two of my friends, on a thirty minute notice, I half volunteered myself to do a fifteen minute talk. (After that came outta my mouth, I was thinking, "What did I just get myself into!?") That's the first time I've ever done anything like that. So, with about thirty minutes before the pastor did his thing, I was sitting there thinking, "What am I gonna do..." I decided I'd talk on how a lot of people aren't really, truly happy these days any more. With a friend's help, we quietly slipped out while he was talking to go print up some stuff from my blog so that I could use that to read a few things from. (Such as "The Author", etc.)
It was actually great. I was soooo nervous, but then I was okay. I was thinking to myself while up there, "How do these people do it? Eeek!" But, it was good. ^.^
Afterward, my friend "Jinx" and I, (long story... don't ask.) went out to walk around in the parking lot. It was dark, and there were street lights all over. The moon was out, and it was so amazing! We had a good talk about prayer, and how we should pray for the impossible, because with God, all things are possible. Then we prayed together, and walked around talking some more.
Prayer is the most amazing thing. You feel so much closer to God! Jinx was saying that when it says in the Bible about not wishing for days before, it's telling you that "Look! You have a beautiful life ahead of you! Don't wish for the past!" And it's true. I love to pray. I love it.

No matter what - pray! Pray for the impossible - with God, ALL things are possible! No doubt!
Life is fast, but take it slow. We can take it slow.

Try smiling. Listen to something that inspires you. Something beautiful. I just want you to know. Something that makes you smile through tears. Baby, don't cry. Smile.

It's Emotion

Happy! This make me smile every time I see it. It's got to be my favorite clip in the whole movie.
     Are you happy? Truly, happy? You can only be happy in the joy of Christ.
I'm happy... I'm wondering. I'm always wondering. There's so many doors in my life. Some of them are swinging wide open. Others are beginning to crack open, but I don't know if they'll be shut again. I stand in a room surrounded by doors, thinking, "Which one do I take?" But then I remember that I need to wait and see which one will open the widest, and stay that way the longest. I don't need to rush headlong through a door. I need to wait and see which one God nudges me towards.
So much is going on in my life... I mean, next year, I'll be EIGHTEEN! *faint* Even the little things seem like big steps, which they're not... but they seem like it. Glasses. I'm getting glasses. Just for when I'm driving, though. But still. That's something new! Driving - I'm going to start taking lessons soon. Driving??? AH!
Yesterday, I went into the store and bought some groceries while mom was in the car. I got a cart, and shopped. Remembered everything on the list. (And mischievously confiscated a liter of Pepsi to buy that wasn't on the list... ^.^) Went up front, used the debit card, and walked back to the car. It was awkward but really cool at the same time.
...*can see raised eyebrows*
Okay, okay! Maybe not cool... but it was a new experience. ^.^
Where's my life going?? Sheesh! I was sitting at my desk the other day, looking at my face in the mirror, and thinking, "Who on earth is that woman looking back at me?"
She's almost a woman. She's got so many responsibilities inwardly, especially, that are always on her heart. She's got friends that she's trying to push in the right direction, caring for them. She gets worried about them, but has to remember that if they mess up, it's not her fault, but she does have to remember, that the advice she gives them, MUST be biblically based.
I've got people that I'm constantly in prayer for, where I'm their Prayer Warrior. There's so many people to pray for these days. My family, my friends, the people I love.
I'm wondering how my life will go in the next year or so. Who will I meet, who will leave, where I'll go... I just wonder.

Life is an adventure. Full of every imaginable thing. Adventure, drama, happiness, comedy... everything.
Enjoy life. Learn to dance in the rain. Try smiling.
