WELCOME TO THE WORLD, GATES!

This evening, at 6:00 PM, Gates was born. Yes...BELLE'S HAD HER BABY!!!! He's all black with a white mark on his forehead, nose, both back legs, and tummy. HE'S SO CUTE! It's about 9:00 PM right now, and we have to stay up there until about 12:00 to make sure he nurses. So far, he hasn't yet. I'll tell you the whole story Monday! Thank you so much for the prayers and I'll give Gates a kiss for you all!!!!!!!

Is Freaking Out....

Belle waxed up this morning! We called the vet and they said that she'll have it either TONIGHT or TOMORROW NIGHT!!!! I'm SO excited! Please be praying, though. I think it'll go well, but you never know. Belle's about to pop...literally. I'm getting up early tomorrow morning to go check on her, and will give you an update if she's had it!

We knew we probably couldn't go when Belle first got pregnant, but now that it's next week...WAHAHAHAAAA!!!!! *sniff*

I'll be missing the Homeschool Conference! ARG! And with that, Memorial Day. I have mixed emotions about it all. I'll miss it terribly, yet at the same time I'm excited about Belle, and kinda glad we'll be able to take a whole week off from everything and get stuff done! *bangs head on computer desk* Ooooh woe is me. I'm sad. I'm happy. I'm hyper. I'm...bummed. A weird bunch of emotions, eh? I know, I know...I'm crazy. Oh well. At least I'll get a foal out of it all!

Rambling

Hello all.
It's been a while! I've been pretty busy. Belle is due in 10 days, so we're keeping an eye out. :) Nothing too different, but every time I go to feed, I check, JUST to make sure. Oh dear. I never thought my horse would be pregnant. :) Anyway...yeah. It's been pretty rainy over the past few days. I like the rain, but, when it's only gray and gloomy...you know. It seems to drain the energy out of you! ARG! Rather annoying, to say the least. Those are the kind of days when I wish I could curl up in a corner like my cats and sleep for hours on end. :)
...a random thought. I love my home. I love it love it love it! There's not another place on earth I'd like to be! I love the mountains. When I get married, I really want to live near...or HERE! =D (I'm tryin' to talk dad into letting me and my hubby have the house!!!:) Wishful thinking.
I also love my horses. My babies. I love kissing their soft noses and hugging their big, strong necks! And they've got such big, beautiful eyes! *sighs dreamily* Can you tell I like horses???
Alright, I just got an idea...I'm going to name some of the simple things in life that I love:

1. Irises and roses.
2. Music.
3. Wind-chimes.
4. Bird song.
5. Ritz crackers and sharp cheddar cheese!
7. Chocolatemilk.
8. Pencils.
9. Hay.
10. Grass.
11. Trees.
12. Dinner tables.
13. Rivers.
14. Flipflops.
15. Pictures.
16. Horse halters.
17. The sound of horses' hooves.
18. Hugs.
19. Kisses.
20. Cat fur!!!

I love simple things! I love them! They're the things I rejoice in! I could list a hundred more things, but for the risk of boring you, I won't write them all down. I love it all. I sometimes think I'm a lot like Mary in the Bible. Did you ever notice how many times it says "But Mary cherished these things in her heart." That's me. Every small thing, every big thing, I sit and ponder afterward. I love it! I can't say it enough! Guess what??? I'M BLESSED!

We went to a friend's house yesterday and had a great time! I got to ride Sarah's horse, Jenny. She's a 10 year old QH and wonderful to ride!!!!
