*Collapses into a Happy Heap*

I'm back! I'm back! I'm BAAAAAAACK! *collapse*
It. Was. The. BEST. TIME. EVER!
God is SO good! I can't tell you how good! I can't! It won't come out! AH!
We got there at around lunch time, ate with some friends, and then headed off to film an Ultimate Frisbee game, take loads of pictures, and be the unofficial photographer for a Nerf battle that was taking place behind Rish Hall. It was... so much fun.
The VIPs soon won the game. And they even had music! One of the guys there was playing his electric guitar up on the balcony and had an amp hooked up to it. We hung around until about 5:00, and then went to eat dinner at the cafeteria. Actually, it was the game room that had been converted into a cafeteria for the time being, seeing as the other was under construction. :) After that, mom, Bekah, Nate and I went back to the hotel to freshen up before the evening lecture and dance. The lecture was AMAZING. He was talking about the armor of God, and we can't just pick and chose what we like - we ARE in a battle, and we must have our weapons. Very excellent indeed.
At 9:00... it was time for the dance. My friend Caroline and I went back to her dorm so she could get something to eat - we walked down the sidewalk, street lights gleaming above us and shining on the grass, giving it a surreal look, and finally made it up to the second floor. When the elevator door opened, we were greeted by four guys in trench coats. They were perfectly harmless, I can assure you. ^.^
She grabbed something to eat, I drank half of my frappucino, and we were off again, this time down to the "Dome". It's actually just a big gym. Once again the light on the big grassy field was awesome. We were having butterfly moments. ^.^
I'll have you know that I danced every single dance from 9:00 until 12:15, except for three. Postie's Jig was by FAR my absolute favorite, and WE. WERE. FLYING.
And the result... my feet are killing me, my back is sore, I'm exhausted... but I'd do it all again.
After the dance was over, the "Gang" got together outside, and we had one of those moments where everything is right. Everything is good, and it can't get better. Where you feel so close to absolutely everyone, and where you can feel God with you. Where music is blasting in your head, and you must say, "Tonight IS a beautiful night!" Where you have to grasp your friend's hand and tell them that you love them, and make sure they know that the reason their friendship is strong, is because God is there. Because Jesus died for us. Because we are brothers and sisters in Him!!!! Because we can trust each other - because we can love each other with the friendliest of loves, and you get this feeling in your heart that says, "It's gonna be okay... everything's going to be alright."
Once back in our hotel room, after driving down the neon lit roads, and wanting to cry for joy, the first thing I did was walk into the bathroom, lock the door, get on my knees, and thank God for such a beautiful night. For all of the friends that I have. For those who weren't there that night.

And now, I can tell you as I fact... I did collapse into a very, very happy heap.

Of Storms

It was storming last night and this morning - I love it. I was sitting out on the deck watching it rain, and took some more photos. A huge storm came last night, and I got to watch it come over the mountain - literally. Awesome.
It was amazing. Huge gusts of wind began to rip across the valley, and then it was blowing the sheet we had hanging up out there - a photo moment if there ever was one.
Visit my GIMPED photos if you'd like to see a couple of more that I took.

A Prayer

Heavenly Father,
I love you. Thank you for this day. Thank you for my family. THANK YOU for all you have given me. You are so good - I will love you.
Thank you for your mercies that you give to me every day. Thank you for my friends - the people I love. Thank you for everything.

May you use me as a light, use me Lord, use even me. That I may lead others to you. That I can be a support to my friends, that everyone who I'm with will see you through me.

I will forever fight... always.

Last Night...

Photo Taking Tip: If you'd like to get a really good picture of the moon, you can take it through the binoculars!

God is Amazing!

And He Made Them All...

Have you given the horse his might? Have you clothed his neck with strength? He paws in the valley, he rejoices in his strength; he goes to meet the weapons.
Have I not made them all?

I love the passage in Job where God speaks about the animals. It's got to be one of my favorites. :) Feel free to go and check out the "My Sketches" page - I've added some new ones.

God is so good to me - everything's almost perfect. If you really want to, you can seize the day.
I love life. Everything's wonderful.
I have Him - everything's good.

Life is good!

The Pen of a Ready Writer

I own the pen of a ready writer.
I love to write. I have so many things I write in. My Journal, my Prayer Book, and my Thoughts Book. And trust me... they fill quickly. I started my 400 page leather journal one minute after midnight on January 1st, 2011... six months later, I'm over half way through it! I won't have enough room for the rest of the year!
How important is journaling? In my mind... VERY! After your dead - and ONLY then ^.^ - can people go back and read the things you wrote about life, the day, the people you know... your thoughts. I love to journal. At the end of the day, not quite every, but every few days, I sit up in my bed at night, dim lamp on, scribbling away, tucked into my mountains of blankets and pillows. If you were to look at my journal, (which I'm not inviting you too... :) you'd find that a couple of pages you can barely read, and the ink is smeared because I cried on it.
I keep a journal because I want people to know what kind of person I am - my thoughts, my dreams, my love, my strength in Him... all of these things. I want people to know...
after I'm dead. ^.^ (Okay, well, maybe when I'm OLDER!)
I keep a Prayer Journal because I want people to be able to read my prayers - my personal prayers.... later. =D (I don't think I have to stress this anymore... point made!)
It's important to me. So, I won't forget!
I keep a thoughts journal because it's easy to carry around, and I want to be able to jot things down as they come to me. Quotes, deep thoughts, funny things... anything.

If you don't keep a journal, I say you should! Keep in mind... it will be read at some point or another. No, I don't want mine read right now... it's got my prayers and my feelings, to be read when I'm much older. My book is still being written... not yet. But, I remember... it will be read. I want my little girl to read it, too... I want her to see what her mama was like when she was sixteen, so she'll know that she's not the only one that thinks she's drowning in emotions!
(The sweet and sour sixteen years, people...)
I write letters to Eric in my journal, too... I really don't want those read!
... =.= Now I've got to explain that.
Okay... rare known fact... I don't know, of course, by future hubby's name... but I've given him a name for now to call him by. Not that it would be his actual name... it's sort of like a code name. ^.^ I've always liked that name - and for some reason, that's what I've always called him. Yes, yes... I'm a strange person... but, it's something I can't help.=)
So, to Eric: wherever you are - I love you, and I want you to know that I'm a happy girl, and when we meet, I want to take it slow. I want to journal it. =D

Don't be weirded out... I know lots of girls that do this. I'm one of them. :)
Whatever you do - JOURNAL! Write down your thoughts, your dreams, your prayers - everything! Love it! Hate it! Go back and read it, laugh at yourself, or look at yourself in the mirror and go, "Are you kidding!?" Trust me... it'll be worth it.
Love life, and above all, love your Lord. He is sovereign, and He knows the plans that He has for us!

My Prayer

Angel in Our Midst

I drew this picture today about an angel protecting a person in a car wreck. I love it. I adore it.
It's sorta a sketch, so - yeah, it's not very detailed. But you can barely see the angel in the background, with his arms wrapped around the person. (This is supposed to be at the moment of impact.)
On the back of the picture, I wrote:
"A reminder that angels are all around us, and that God isn't finished with us yet."

I love the song "Prayer" by Haley Westenra - the lyrics seemed to go with this drawing...

Let your arms enfold us
Through the dark of night
Will your angels hold us
Till we see the light

Hush, lay down your troubled mind

The day has vanished and left us behind
And the wind - whispering soft lullabies
Will soothe - so close your eyes

Let your arms enfold us

Through the dark of night
Will your angels hold us
Till we see the light

Sleep, angels will watch over you

And soon beautiful dreams will come true
Can you feel spirits embracing your soul
So dream while secrets of darkness unfold

Let your arms enfold us

Through the dark of night
Will your angels hold us
Till we see the light

Remember that angels are always around us, even though we don't think twice. Did you ever wonder how many times our lives are in danger throughout the day? But that angel is there, just where God placed him...
There are Angels in our Midst

Fashion Bash

Yesss! Mom and I went out today to look for some skirts, etc, and I found a couple - so that's good! (It is SO hard to find skirts... I'm irked. =.=)  I also went on a "Fashion Bash" at Rue21.
First of all... Rue21, at first glance, looks like a place for loose gals - but if you go in there with a mindset to mix and match things, you can get some great stuff!
The music was really loud, but it didn't really bother me - I was on a hunt! (My dear mother was about to go crazy... bless her. :) We went there at the PERFECT time, because they had their 20+ clothes on SALE for 6 and 3!!! AAAHH!!! *happy sigh*
So, here's my loot - you CAN be stylish AND modest, all at once! (And no, the lounge pants I'm wearing weren't part of the deal... I just changed into them when I got back because I'm gonna relax for the rest of the day!)

Enjoy! Fighting!

This jacket was a BIG plus! Six dollars! I adore it!
(Alright, now I want Autumn to get here....)
