I love this "Writing Rules" photo above - it makes sense, but it also makes you laugh. ^.^ (Except to #8 - there's always a moral to the story; whether the writer/reader realizes it or not!)
Here's a couple of other quotes I like:

Yes, good writing is supposed to cause you to feel the cold rain falling on you! To sense the humidity in the air during Summer, the cold, crisp breeze of Fall. Writing is an amazing thing.

And now for something random: my brother and I were watching a bunch of Star Trek bloopers, so these two are for the Spock fans... like myself. ^.^ Poor Spock! *runs to hug him* I've always loved the chap. ^.^

Remember to love Christ with all of your heart, and to lean on HIS understanding.

Stormy Skies

photo from Google Images - credit goes to photographer

I woke up this morning to the sound of violent rain pounding the house. It's been storming all day; it's great. I had my window open last night so I could hear it, and it came, and came, and came, and came. Several times it woke me up!

Life's good lately. I can't believe it's almost the end of the year! I was reading my "I Say Goodbye (2010)" post, and was thinking, "Wow - this year has flown by!"
But it's not over yet - and there's still some exciting stuff ahead planned. MEEP! Hopefully, I'll be seeing my best friend in October - we are going to have the BEEEESSSTT time ever!!! *happy dance* It'll be great... absolutely top of the world.

Enjoy the rest of your year, whatever you do. 2011 is the only one of it's kind - and we're in it! Time disappears like the sand falling through the boy's hand in that picture - it's there one moment, and the next, it's gone. Feel the warmth while you can - love life while you can.

Rainy Days

Photo from Google - Credit goes to Photographer

It's 6:31 in the morning; the house is still quiet, and it's raining outside. Everything around me is still dark, except the glow of the computer screen.
I woke up at 5:10 to the sound of happy music, and forced myself to get up, though my covers were trying to keep me down. I apologized to them for the premature breakup, and then got out of bed, heading directly for the coffee pot. Since no one else was up, I went ahead and turned it on, going out onto the back deck. Rain! It fell from black skies into the night. The beautiful sound of rain. I love the rain.

Today we're having some friends over, so we have to get everything done before they come; but I'm looking forward to it. We'll have a wonderful time.

I also want to say Happy Birthday to a special someone: my mom. Yesterday was her birthday, and I totally forgot to schedule a post to come out!
Anyway - Happy Birthday to a lovely lady. Mom, you've done a lot - I'm sorry I'm such a pain so often. You're amazing, and I admire how you put up with stuff. I love you bunches! Always be happy - life's too short to frown. Happy Birthdaaaaayy! (((hugs!)))

Give your moms a cheer and hug today - they deserve it!
