AH! I'm excited. This Saturday, mom and I are going to go see the Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats! YIPPEEEE!!!!! That'll be SO much fun! I've never been to anything like it before, so I'm really happy! It's sorta for my Birthday, sorta not. And yes, my 16th is coming up on the 28th of this month. :)
Anyway, Youtube has a video that you can go see. Just type in the above blog title and you should get it.
The show lasts 2 whole hours, so I'm really really really really really really really really REALLY looking forward to it! (Did I say really?)
Anyway...by for now!

A Morning With the Horses
So in my last post I told you about working with the horses. Here's a video of me working with Belle. She wasn't quite sure what to do, but watching Max especially was fun. :)
Enjoy!

A Late Fourth of July Post
Hello out there! Yes, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to post anything; we've been very busy! Alright....updates:
1. Max has an abscess where his umbilical cord was, so Saturday, we had to call the vet out to look at it. On top of that, we had friends over, though it was amazingly providential the way it worked out so that they could help us. They gave my Big Boy some stuff to put him down, and the poor thing practically fell over! He did very good considering the fact that she stuck a sharp knife thing into the abscess and cut it open, squeezed it, flushed it, and then put antibiotics in it. He was still awake, but just kinda lay there half dead the whole time. It was actually funny to see him. When he did get up, he was really wobbly.
2. We had a big *third* of July thing, as we didn't want to do it on the Lord's Day. So Saturday was pretty busy. We had about 20-some people over, but it was really fun. Max, Belle and Silkie got tons of attention from our guests, and the fireworks was great! I took some pictures so you guys could see.
3. Today, which is Monday, I went out with Dad and Nathan so that I could work with the horses. Silkie hasn't been lunged in a long time, so I did that, and then did Belle, (who was very confused; I don't think she's ever been lunged before), and then went up to the barn to test-tie Max. He hasn't been tied before, so I tied him up to see what he'd do. He did pretty good, actually, and then I messed with his feet to get him used to the farrier. He did VERY good on that; I was pleased. Then I actually washed Silkie's mane. That animal was DIRTY! Goodgrief. I got soaked, then got muddy when she rolled on me. Speaking of muddy, the first thing she did when I was done was go and roll! Grrrrrrrr........
4. Sunday was Belle's Birthday! She's now officially 6 years old. :)
5. Ah...my favorite part. Saturday, mom and I are going to go see the Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats! YIPPEEEE!!!!! I've never been to anything like that....I'm sure it'll be loads of fun! Unfortunately, they won't let you take pictures there, so that's a bummer...but oh well. Hey, at least I'll get to go!
So, that's about it for the moment. I'll post some videos and pictures for you to see. :)
Hope everyone had a blessed Fourth of July! (Or third...or fifth...whatever the case may be!)

Thoughtful
I feel in a thoughtful mood, today. There's so much to think about. How God has blessed us, how He watches over us. Everything. How awesome is it? Everything from the gentle breeze that now drifts through the open windows as I sit here, to the clean, fresh atmosphere of the house. We've been cleaning a lot this morning. Ah, it's great to work! I love to work. I'll sometimes grumble about it, but when I start, it feels so good. Cleaning is great. Working outside is great. Feeding the horses is great. This afternoon, Nathan and I have to wash the side of the house. No, not the funnest job on earth, but hey...at least I can work, and not be confined to a wheelchair. I love putting my hand to something and finishing it.
I've been so blessed with so many things. My home, my friends. Everything. It's too much for words to describe. That's one thought. Here's another:
The world of darkness shall not prevail. Though the enemy may persecute us and kill our bodies, they cannot kill our souls. Have you noticed something? Though thousands...millions have tried, the Christians still thrive. No, I'm not calling for a rebellious uprising...I'm calling for that quiet strength that sends us forward. The gates of hell shall not prevail. We will win. In the end, we are the victors. We must strive to reach that goal.
A lot of random thoughts...I'm sure. My fingers wanted to type what was going through my head, so I did.

Although and unhappy subject to deal with, this is very important. After all...it's not all about us......

Model
Alright, so I sat down and wanted to model something...but I didn't know what. I just started forming a torso, and then shoulders followed, and finally, I did a guy looking down at a cell phone. Kinda weird, but I like it!
It's not the best, but that's only the second human I've done. :)
Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

Max is Growing Up
Look how he's grown into that halter! AH! He's getting really big, really fast.
In this picture, he looks really brown, but he's actually black. That's just his baby coat. Look at the fur around his nose....:)
Anyway, just wanted to post this picture.

Videos
Here's some videos from the last dance we did, Virginia Reel. You can't see me very well, but I'm there in the brown skirt and black shirt. Boy was it stuffy in there! I was sweating like crazy, as was the last person I danced with. Whew! That one pretty much did me in. Yikes. My bangs don't cooperate very well when I sweat, so they got all oily and bad looking. *growls* Anyway, here they are!
Family Bible Conference 2010!
Yesterday, mom, Bekah, Nathan and I went to the Reformed Family Bible Conference in Bluefield, VA. It was so much fun! Daddy couldn't come, so just us four went. We got there at around 12:00 PM, and ate lunch, then hung out with some friends. I played several games of Ultimate Frisbee, and talked with several good friends. Then at 5:00 PM, mom came and we all met at the cafeteria for dinner. After that, we went back to the hotel to freshen up. We got there for the evening session, which was GREAT! Very, very good. And after that...the barn dance! We went down to the "dome" or gym and I danced all of them save for three. Here are some videos/pictures of the whole thing.

this is from playing Ultimate. I'm wearing a brown skirt and black shirt.
I had the joy of taking a chunk of skin out of my toe while doing this, by the way.....

The Square Dance
The boys played NERF
All in all, we had a really good time! I'd like to do it all over again!
