Costume Ball!!!

Hi everyone,
Sorry about not putting up a good sized post in a while, it's been kind of busy around here;
Our goat Charlie, as you probably already know, had had something similar to kidney stones. We took him to the vet, and they fixed the problem, so now he's doing fine...back to gorging down food and bulling Chester around. :)
Okay, well, as the title suggests, we (my mom, Nate, Bekah and I) went to a costume ball down in Tazwell, VA. It was TONS of fun!!!
The ball lasted from 3:00 PM till 9:00 PM. We did Reels and Square Dancing.
Here are some pictures:

Chris and I doing a square dance,

Jeffery and I go under the head couples on the Virginia
Reel,

Josh and I wait for the music to start,

Chris and Lillian take a brake

My brother, his partner and Jeffery trying to figure o
ut what on earth they're supposed to be doing,

Chuck and I,

I get stolen away from Josh...literally! :)

(We got mixed up and I ended up with another young man across from us!:)

We had a GREAT time...me want's to do it again! :D
In Christ,
~Rose

P.S. The "blackness" around some of the pictures is to cover the blurred areas...not to emphasize on two couples....if you know what I mean....so DO NOT take it that way! :P :)

Sounds like SOO much fun Rose! I'm jealous. :P I've always wanted to go to a dance... but for one thing, I've never learned how to dance, and for another, I've never been invited to dance. I'm not positive, but I may have my first dance this Friday! Although I'm not sure... :)
Thanks for posting!

Hey Hannah,
That looks like so much fun! I love your dress it is so pretty. (I was however shocked to see how much Jeffery, Christopher, and Josh had all grown, I am going to fill like a dwarf next conference if they keep it up. *YEEKS*)We used to go to San Antonio every year for the Bonnie Blue ball and we just loved it we all had ball gowns and uniforms(which you have seen my brothers wear(the uniforms that is not the ball gowns)) it was so much fun.

I am glad that your goat is doing better I hope he and the rest of your animals continue that way.

Oh, it was sooooooo much fun!!!
The picture of my little sister Lillian was so cute. Lillybee can be so funny sometimes. She was hiding from all the people she didn't know.

And the dancing was fun. I have to say, though, that the square dances will forever confuse me.

Madison-I'm so glad you might go to your first dance Friday!!
*smiles impishly* I wouldn't be able to dance either, if it weren't for the fact that at all the dances I've been to they teach you the steps once around before they start. :) Also, some of my friends who are grown or almost grown taught me the Virginia Reel when I was only eight. We would do it all the time, and still carry the tradition of doing it on Christmas day.

Madison-
We did have fun! Glad that you might be going to a dance...but keep in mind that it can get very frustrating when you don't really know the dances! ;)

Joelle-
We did! :D

Rebecca-
I am so forgettable! I forgot that you knew Jeffery and Josh...my bad! :D Yes, they've grown a lot! (trust me, I have to crane my head up to look at Jeffery!)
He said that he's already got a Learner's permit for driving...my how old we're all getting! :D
Thanks, Alana made it for me. (Do you know her???)

Autumn-
Thanks for the comment! ;) We did have a good time, didn't we?
You really have to learn the Square Dances before you get to enjoy them.

Thanks for all the comments!

Hey Hannah,
Yes I know Alana, she very sweet and very talented. Didn't she make the brown dress you wore to the barn dance two years ago also?

I am still smiling however at the thought that you did not remember that I know Jeffery and Josh even if I had not known them before last year it would have been very hard for me not to know at least Jeffery since you took such delight in tormenting him and Chuck with your camera before every lecture at the conference. :P (and since I also danced with him)

I am still having to get used to the idea that friends that are only one year older then I are starting to drive since my brothers did not start till after the age 18 and Jo still does not have one and I am not going to get one for a long time most likely but I don't care right I would just be happy to have a birth certificate. :)

Rebecca: I am not growing that much.
Liek a friend of mine said "Any one shorter than me is a midget and any one tall than me is simply over grown."

Hehehe the one ball I almost convinced Jeffery that putting soap on the bottom of his boots would help them to no slip. :D

Autumn: She's sooooo cute! And she's now letting my hold her. (well only a little.)

Dancing is a lot of fun. I normally prefer reels to Square dancing. This last time though I actually enjoyed the square dancing. My favorite reel would have to be posties jig SOOOO FUN!!! It's really fun to see how fast you can do that one.

Rebecca-
Yep, told you I had forgotten! :P
It wasn't the pictures so much that drove him crazy...it was the M-P3 player!!! :D
Oh well, he didn't seem to mind when we met again at the ball...in fact, he was the first to ask me to dance and then asked again a few dances later. :)
My mom says that she won't let me have my driver's license till I'm 18 as well...looooooong wait!
Yes, Alana did make that dress; she also made the one that I was wearing in those pictures!
(In the pic. with me and Josh, she's beside William F. and in a blue dress with white apron; you probably already saw her!:)

Brooke-
I love dancing too! :D

LOL! Now I am the one with the bad memory I don't remember anything about a MP-3 player, would you mind reminding me? I guess if both of us work together we can remember a decent bit of things since it seems that what you remember I forget and what I remember you forget. :D

Alright Rothor you could have given me a hint who you were when you left a comment on my blog it was really bothering me who you were. Well at least I know now. :)

Rothor-
You'd better not give Jeffery anymore 'helpful suggestions', he just might try one of them! :)
Thanks for the comment on million times! :D

Rebecca-
Er...I've sort of forgotten that one two! :P I'm not kidding, all I can remember is that it had something to do with his player...:D

*Stops and looks at the recent comments* Why on earth is our conversation going towards Jeffery??? :D

Oh, and Rothor, I think that Lillian does like you, she's just shy. :)

I know...Don't you just HATE it when he does that?
(He did something similar to me one time...but we won't go there. And that means that you won't either, Rothor!:)

Rose: Wow.....must be boring not being able to drive. My dad lets me drive from the co-pilot seat a good bit. It's fun! I want to drive asap.

Rebecca: Whats it with girls and not like anonymous people/messages? *Thinks for a minute or two* I guess you people don;t play online games where you have friends that you talk to and don;t even know there names xD.

Rose: Seriously you sooo totally freaked out hehehehehe....oh oops! Looks like i just went there. ROFL!

Ugh. Jeffery hasn't let me forget that "suggestion" and it;s been over two years now.....I think i need to prank him wuahahahaha!

Hannah Leigh said...

Rothor-
Nope. It won't be boring...I've got more important things to worry about now! ;) (Robert's right...read his comment!:)
Oh, and no...at least I don't play online games, don't know about Rebecca; but like you said Sunday; girls and guys are TOTALLY different!:)

Robert-
You've got a good point! Thanks for the information. :)
Give me Jeffery's e-mail so I can tell him to stay away from Chris!!! Fast! *stops* wait, you're going to give him Chris's blog address??? Book??? What??? *whimpers* *gulp* :D

Rothor: I think you only have seen one side girls don't like anonamas meseges from boys. :)I what bothered me the most was that since your picture gave away what age group you are in I knew that for you to comment you would have to know me and if you knew me I knew you but i didn't know you because I did not reconise the name if you had signed it as Aldarion I would have known you in a flash.

Robert: You are cosing trouble

'Starry eyed' indeed! Robert, you are SO dead when I see you again! That includes the bucket of pink paint on your head! :P
Might as well tell him anyway; I need more visitors on my blog.
But hopefully by then I'll have a different post up! :)

Rebecca-
I agree with Rebecca, Rothor, she's got a good point! :)
And yes, your brother is causing trouble! :D (seriously, I wouldn't want to offend him though; me is glad that he actually visits!:)

The dance was very fun. I was able to dance one set with Alana's younger brother, Alexander. I normally dance with my husband, however he had foot surgery in September and his feet where hurting. The square dances confuse me as well, but I really think they are works of art. The dancers and movement remind me of looking through a kaleidoscope. Just beautiful.-- Autumns Mom

Madison-
Didn't make me laugh! :P :)

Rothor-
Yes, you DEFINITELY see a prank in the making; I just might hire you to do it! ;)

Autumn's mom-
Thanks for visiting! :)
The dance was fun; I hope that we can do it again some time.
