The Lightly Trodden Path

There before us lies a narrow, weed covered path; the shrubs and bushes have long covered its dusty, rocky trail, and the small path is barely seen from the main road, which is wide and clear, and nothing is in its way. Here every young woman stops, trying to decide if she wants to take such a treacherous path, or continue on the flat, smooth one that she now follows.
"What can be more beautiful than the budding and blossoming of girlhood? Those years of transition from childhood to womanhood are filled with wonderful interest and promise. But the young feet that travel this way may be unsteady and unsure. Each could
use guidance, a helping hand along the way..."
This is a quote from the back of 'Beautiful Girlhood' by Karen Andreola.
Yes, the briers will scratch us and the branches will grab at us, the ground is rough and hilly, but still, this path must be taken. It will, over time, lead us to beautiful girlhood, and in the end, it will lead us to beautiful womanhood. God will keep our feet from slipping, and will "put a lamp to our feet and a light to our path..." so that we may see and not fall.
The grim forest that lays before us, the dangers that may possibly lie ahead, is nothing but a veil that hides the beauty that we shall encounter in the end.
I know that many of us are already on this path; and some of us may just be ready to take it, but no matter the situation, you can always push harder, and strive to reach the end of a long journey to beautiful womanhood. We all have a long way to go, and before us, sprawled out on the path, laid on the trees, are a multitude of of decisions that must be made: every day things, like obeying our parents, the decision to help our mothers, things like this are just as important as the things that we will come up in the future; not just for us, but for every young lady in the making. Many of the young women out there have either disregarded this path, and gone their way on the smooth one, or have taken this path, and have come to a deadly end.
All along this narrow way are roads that will take you off of it, and back to the main one, and many young women have done this. They have taken the 'easy' way, and left the trail that would save them from a terrible end. They have chosen the way of the world, and have given away their virginity for a moments pleasure, dishonored their parents, and done so many other things that most probably will lead up to horrible happenings.
One of the most terrible things that any young woman has done is to MURDER her child. Today is the 36th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade--and since that curse from God, an estimated 50 million babies have been murdered.

(Psalms 106:36-40, KJV)

36. And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
37. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38. And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their
daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was
polluted with blood.
39. Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their
own inventions.
40. Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, insomuch
that he abhorred his own inheritance.

The blood of these 50 million babies cry out to God from the land, and our hands are covered in it.
Here is a wonderful article done by a woman who has a website called "Slice of Laodicea." There is one photo on her post that young ones should NOT see, so please use caution. Other than that, I strongly encourage you to read this post.
On the 36 anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, let us bow down and cry out to God to have mercy on His chosen people in His wrath to come, and let us, as young women and sisters in Christ, not follow the wide and smooth path.

In Christ,
~Rose

Yes. Isn't it sad to see young women follow after this world, even Christians? We need to keep them in our prayers. Also, the Roe vs. Wade issue. It just hurts my heart to hear babies being killed. They are not embryos or fetuses. They are human beings--just like us.

On the side, do you like being called Rose or Hannah? I think I have been saying Rose, but I would like to do what you prefer. :) God bless!

Rose, that makes my heart so sad.

If you are fortunate enough for God to deem you worthy to be a parent to one of His children, the you should rise to the responsibility!

If a parent doesn't want a baby, they should use a birth-control that prevents the egg from becoming a baby. Once the egg is a baby, though, God obviously has a plan for that child.
I've seen many examples of God working through birth-control and creating amazing people!

God save America from the innocent blood that we have shed!

Great post! Thanks for reminding me of the importance of this day. The inauguration has overshadowed so much that today was overlooked.

We can all pray for those who have experienced this tragedy of having an abortion. However, God is faithful and forgives those who repent. We must always be on guard, women today are no different from Eve and are deceived by Satan's lies.

Women identifying themselves as Protestants obtain 37.4% of all abortions in the U.S.; Catholic women account for 31.3%, Jewish women account for 1.3%, and women with no religious affiliation obtain 23.7% of all abortions. 18% of all abortions are performed on women who identify themselves as "Born-again/Evangelical".

I once read an interesting statistic, at least 20% of abortions are performed on married women who are pressured into this by their husbands.

Also has anyone ever heard of Margaret Sanger? She hated black people and was an extreme racist. She also started Planned Parenthood. Interestingly enough black women are more than 3 times more likely than white women to have an abortion. Who was this lie sold to?and why?

Abortion is a horrible, horrible thing. It's the killing of an innocent child. I didn't know that it's the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. It's such an awful thing. God save America from such injustice.

Dear Rose, First, I want to thank you for what you posted. Abortion still shocks me as much now as when I first learned of it nearly nine year ago and I know it always will. We have had the opportunity to visit a Pregnancy Crisis center with our church family. The lady who ran this particular branch had so many stories to tell, mostly happy (praise the Lord! The mom's chose to have their babies) and others very sad; all made me cry. Christian centers' work, like this one, is very important in our fight against abortion. At this center alone, nearly 90% of all the women who came to the center a year chose to bear their babies. If any girls who read this blog have a center like this nearby, I would highyl encourage them and their families and even churches to donate any items that the center may need as many offer support to the women throughout and after their pregnancies. Of course, we can always continue in prayer before our Lord to redeem our nation and to stop this horrible "right." In Christ, Michaela

Thanks! I had gotten your comment on the last one, and I am sorry for not posting in a while. :( Anyway, thanks again!

Fox-
Thanks. :)

Rachel~
It is. And it's also important to remember that we would be in the same situation too, if it weren't for God's grace.
Oh, and I like both names...it doesn't matter. :D
Thanks!

Sara~
Thanks, my favorite would have to be the flower one.

I agree, if you're called, then get out there and have as many as the Lord gives you! Great comment!

Timeless Trinkets~
Wow, I didn't know that. Great comment! Keep up the good work!

Abigale and Lydia~
It is a horrible thing, I think that we all know this. Even the women who do get abortions, they too know that SOMETHING isn't right...but they don't know what.

Michaela~
What a wonderful idea! I have been wanting to do something of the like with my family, but the Lord hasn't opened this up for us yet.
I too would encourage all young ladies to try and do something like this...it DOES make a difference!
Thanks!

In Christ,
~Rose

I agree. Abortion is evil and should not, should not be legal at all. Even if it isn't 'born' doesn't mean that the baby isn't made.... sad.
