The Wonders of God's Creation...Horses

....Horses...a Wonder of God's Creation....

Horses are probably the most fascinating creatures of all times...in my mind, anyway. They are one of the most--if not THE--most graceful wonders of God's creation. He made the horse specially designed to carry a human being, and to be tamed for man's uses. Horses can be wild as the wind or as gentle and delicate as a spring flower. I have the privilege of owning three horses: an American Quarter Horse, which is the fastest horse to run a quarter of a mile in under a minute, and can, for a fact, stop from a full gallop and turn on a quarter...literally. A Halflinger, which is a small version of the Belgian Draft horse, known for their gentleness and stalky build, and an American Paint Horse, known for their quick wit and quiet temper. All horses have a graceful, yet powerful look about them, giving them a beauty all of their own. Words can not describe them...you can only behold their majesty with your own eyes. Next time you see any horse, if you haven't ever stopped to look, stop now. Stand there and look at him. Watch him. See what he does. Watch his ears prick and his eyes brighten as he looks at you, wondering if you've brought him a treat. Watch him lower his muzzle into the grass and chomp away contentedly. Watch him sniff at another horse curiously, or lift his noble head to catch a scent in the wind. Watch him gallop with nothing but sheer energy if he is in a frisky mood, or trot about, snorting and swishing his tale to warn off another horse. Just watch and observe, and maybe you'll see why I love them so much.

Cylleruion,
I know we agreed to disagree on this, but still dogs drool (quite literally) and Horses rule all the way! A horse is way cooler then a dog, you just have not had the privilege to be around them enough to figure it out, and for that I actually pity you. :P

Thanks! I love horses SO much! I enjoy going up to our pasture and sitting on Red's back bare-back...it's so much fun to stand up on him and grab an apple from the apple tree there to feed him! :D

Hi! Thanks so much for visiting! :) My 28 year-old gelding, Red, is probably my favorite. There's just something about an old old Quarter Horse, whose past you have no clue about except that you know he had been a barrel racer and his previous owners would run him for too long, and as a result, he has arthritis. Yep. It's kinda sad, but when you go back further than that, you can just see him as a little colt, getting into so much trouble! (And he still does:)
Thanks for commenting!

I sure will! As soon as I get the chance I'll go over and check it out. Thanks for following my blog!

Cyll-
But you do have to admit...they are very pretty animals. Even S_F acknowledges that! :D

Zak-
Thanks! My brother has spoken lots about you, and I've gone to your blog a couple of times before. I really love your art work! I like to draw, too, though I mostly draw horses. (Big surprise, huh?:)

Rachel~
Hey! They are, aren't they? *loves them*

Lauren~
I'll be sure and go this morning. Thanks for reminding me!

Rebecca~
Way to go! Sorry, Cyll...she likes horses more. :D

Yes dogs drool but on the whole so do humans!

Yes horses are glorious and I can see why they were considered the worlds most powerful fighting force. I really wouldn't wanna stand on the ground with several thousand of those things charging down on me with guys on here back trying to kill me at the same time.

But so far as I have seen nothing matches the loyalty and unquestioned obedience of the dog.

Alright I admit it. Most of the reason I probably regard horses in such a low way is because I don't have one. xD

On the whole though...for everyday I still think i would prefer a dog. (depending on the type, poodles are NOT dogs. there a perversion the frence made.)

I LOVE horses too. The pictures are soooo beautiful! I have always wished for a horse of my own. But I have road one. It's so fun to be galloping away, far across a wide field. You grt such a feeling of excitment and awe. Yes, You are right...horses are one of God's beautiful creation

Yes, Red sounds like my horse (Jeb). He used to be a barrel horse and is up in his twenties, I don't know exactly how old he is though. We love to run, we either just walk or gallop, hardly ever just trot. I don't know what I could do without him. Yes, and he is very stubborn, he's very much like me in most aspects. : ) Hope you are doing well.

Well I can respect that, dogs are very loyal to their masters, although I can not stand small yippee dogs, I like really big dogs that are well trained. :)

We watched a show called Battle Field Britten a few months ago, I forget which battle it was on, but in one of them they had someone stand out in the middle of a field with some stuff hooked up to him to measure his hart rate and had a whole bunch of riders charge him to see how scared he would be knowing that they were going to doge him to get a idea of what it would have been like to be charged by calvary and knowing that they were aiming for you, needles to say the guy's hart rate went up a whole lot, he said he could feel the ground shaking under his feet from all the horses galloping.

Anyway g2g now. (try to hold in the sighs of relief=P)
