Vacation to Charleston, South Carolina

i had an awesome week (for the most part).
tuesday, my family and i set off on the five hour drive to Charleston, South Carolina; my dad is in the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and there was a convention there, so that's the root reason we were going there, however it turned into a very enjoyable vacation. we went to the Yorktown, a decommissioned aircraft carrier, went to the beach, Magnolia Cemetery where the three crews of the Hunley are buried; mom and i went to a korean restaurant and shopped around down town for a long time, and we went to the aquarium. friday night, a transformer in front of the hotel blew out, so we were without power for a bit, and then again on sunday morning as we were trying to pack to leave, the power failed once more, and being on the fifth floor with no elevators... let's just say much arms and shoulders are incredibly sore this morning. :)
i took a total of 290 pictures, but i will spare you and only upload the best from the trip. it was so nice to have a break from the normal routine of life and be able to visit new places and meet new people. and the beach was amazing. i ran around in the waves and listened to some of my favorite songs; the waves seemed to be in beat with the music.
     enjoy the pictures!
