Barak Obama Has Won the Presidency: God Help Us.

Barak Obama has won the Presidency of the United States; as you all probably already know.
My dad gave us some encouragement this morning from Isaiah chapter three, which is the one that I had posted awhile back.
I must say that, when I heard that he had become President, I was scared, but this chapter gave me comfort. Please read it.
God will help us to get through this, but that do
esn't mean that we won't be untouched by it;
trials WILL come, and soon, I'm afraid; but Jesus Christ is on His throne up in Heaven, and He has everything under control. I believe that He is about
to purge the church from all of the false Christians, and He IS going to shake the world...we must be prepared, physically and spiritually.
It will be interesting to see what God is goin
g to do next. Barak Obama is a judgment on this nation, hard times are ahead of us, but we must NOT fear! The world is full of fear, and the church is going right along with it. But we as true Christains by God's grace must not fear, for He will watch over his Chosen People, and keep them under the shadow of His wing.
I forget who this quote is by, but it went like this:
"God will be the first to set foot on the battlefield, and He will be the last to step off of it.
He will leave no man behind; He might not bring you home alive, but He WILL bring you Home!"
Like I said, I forget who that is by, but I like it. :)
I am openly a Reformed Presbyterian and believe in John Calvin's works, sometimes known as Calvinism; the Armenians came up with five view points of their belief, and Calvin countered that with the Five Points of Calvinism:

TULIP.
T. Total Depravity.
U. Unconditional Election.
L. Limited Atonement.
I. Irresistable Grace.
P. PERSEVERENCE OF THE SAINTS.

P. Is what we need to carry out now. We need to persevere.
"Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their actions.
Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, for what he deserves will be done to him.
O My people! Their oppressors are children and women rule over them.
O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray and confuse the direction of your paths."
Isaiah chapter three v. 10-12.

God help us.

In Christ,
~Rose

P.S. A good book to read about Providence is the Westminster Confession of Faith.

True Rose... very true. My mom said when she saw that picture of Obama, "That man has not business standing in front of an American flag."
Anyway, I am also a Calvinist, and I am a reformed Baptist. You almost might call me a Presbyterian, but I don't believe in infant baptism. But that's a completely different topic... :P
But yes, I think America is really another Sodom and Gomorrah; and with Obama about to be president, it will become even worse.
I did a post also on the election last night. You can go and check that out.

We should all be praying now for Barak Obama that he would turn to God for help to lead our country!!And that God would work through him and in him to do great things for our country!Because "with God all things are possible"Mat 19:26 & Mark 10:27.
I know this is very scary but I feel peace in the knowledge that God is in charge of all things and that his will is done! With Gods help he could be the best president we ever had!So with these thoughts let us not be bitter at Barak but let us be sincerely praying for him because prayer is now are biggest weapon in this election!
With a prayerful heart,
Savannah
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely,
and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking
to Jesus, the founder and protector of our faith, who for the joy that
was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is
seated at the right hand of the throne of God." ~ Hebrews 12:1-2

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Heb 13:17
Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Excellent post. It's odd, I'm not as surprised as I thought I would be, I was prepared for this to happen... Anyway, here's support from another Calvinist, and may God bless America.

Madison-
Your mother was right; he has no business standing there at all.
I'll go to your blog ASAP! :)

Savannah-
You are right in a way; we do need to trust in God, he could just do something wonderful! :)
I do believe, though, that He isn't going to hold off the Judgment much longer. (Longer as in His eyes, not ours)
It seems, in Isaiah three, that what is in that chapter is being carried out fast...like I said, we need to be ready.
God bless! :)

Jeremy-
Thanks...it is encouraging to here from other people who believe what I do. (You too, Madison!:)
I too, wasn't very surprised when my mom said early this morning when I had gotten up, "Obama is President."
Although, I have to admit, like I said in my post, that I was scared for a while.
Anyway, thanks for the comment! :)

In Christ,
~Rose

P.S. Savannah, thanks for all of the Scripture verses! :D

Your website is extremely well done and encouraging. I'm glad I was referred to it today by someone who knows you well.
The quote you wrote was said by Colonel Harold G. Moore who led his cavalry into the first major battle for Americans in Viet Nam. I have great respect for him.

A little note, Armenian is an ethnic people in Europe but Arminian is the theological error taught by Arminius and was condemned by the international protestant churches in the early 17th century. Did you know that the great Calvinistic scholar R J Rushdoony was an Armenian?

Thanks for pointing me to Isaiah 3. How very apt.

It took me awhile to realize what was going on, and I have to agree with Jeremy, it didn't really shock me that much. Anyway, I'm not so sure about judgment day, but hard times are probably coming. I do agree that God is going to judge this nation, and has already started, many years ago. All of those events that have made big news and been nation wide catastrophe, I think those just might be warnings.
But as none of us know what God has planned out for us, so we're just going to have to wait.

I don't agree with almost EVERYTHING that Obama stands for, but still, the LORD brought me peace by helping me to realize that Obama becoming president is part of His sovreign plan for this country. At the end of the day, he loves America too, and he'll only do what he thinks is right for the country. Don't think that I wanted him to be president. It's exactly the opposite! But, still, God has placed him as head of this country and we should honor him there as God would want us to.

Pastor Black-
Thank you very much for visiting my blog! :)
I didn't know that R.J. Rushdoony
was an Armenian...I need to catch up on my History! Thank you for pointing the error out, I appreciate it.
Have a nice day!

Autumn-
You are very right! We know not the plan of God, but these signs that we have seen seem like they are leading up to judgment.
I am not saying that 'Judgment Day' is right around the corner; things must first take place, i.e. the persecuting of the saints, and then after, a one thousand year reign by God, and then the judgment. Just thing, a ONE THOUSAND year reign by God!!! How amazing that shall be! :)
Thanks for the comment!

Cassie-
You're right, God does have a sovereign plan which he for-ordained before the foundations of the world...we must trust in Him.
Thanks!
