The Wonders of God's Creation

Have you ever taken a walk or stepped out on the deck or yard late in the evening, when the sun was just setting? Or in the morning, when it was just rising? How about in the afternoon, when the sun was at its peak and the birds were out? You should; or you'll miss some wonderful things. Here in the mountains, I get to see the beauty of God's creation EVERY day. I can look out my window in the morning right when it's getting light and see the horses grazing in the pasture, or step out on the back deck for a brief moment to watch the sun rise. At night, when I go outside to call our cats in, I can look up at the stars and moon, or early in the evening watch the sun set. We have woods around our house, and every now and again, I see a deer in our back yard; we also have many visitors such as rabbits, opossums, ground hogs and LOTS of birds. It's fun to watch them all. Mr Blue Jay comes to our front yard almost every morning to grab a piece of dog food and carry it to a nearby tree, or Mr Opossum welcomes himself onto our back deck occasionally to grab some cat food; he is very sly. Our horses our a joy to watch as they run around our pasture or graze under some trees, and they fill up many of my photos.
It's just a good idea to get out every now and again to enjoy God's creation, and to take a walk whenever you can. We have a mountain in front of our house, and have hiked it a few times; we are blessed to be surrounded by such beauty. We take so many things for granted in this busy, noisy world of cars, planes, machinery and so forth, that we don't take the time any more to sit out on the deck or porch, or just in a swing with a good book and a cup of tea (or coffee...for the guys:) and to just relax and watch the birds.
Here are some pictures from my home, and the beauty that we have been blessed with.

In Christ,
~Rose

Those are beautiful pictures, Rose. God does an amazing work! :) That is so neat that you have woods in your backyard. We live in the city, so we just see the mountains from a distance. I would love to live by the woods. How peaceful! :)

Thanks! He does, and we are greatly blessed to enjoy it every day. Even if you do live in the city, you can still watch the birds and a sunrise/sunset when you can. :)
Thanks for the comment!

Stephanie~
Thanks, that one was actually from an overlook that goes down the mountain. :)

Thanks!

Bethanne,
Thanks! All of them are from our property. I think that my favorite one would have to be the hummingbird at the feeder.:)
Thanks for stopping by!
