Ladies and Gents!

Officially announcing the beginning of a story - a story that will spill from my mind.
I've always wanted to write a book - a good book. A book that I can use to point people to the awesomeness of our Father, and how He controls every single thing in our lives.
That's what I'm hoping Cafe will do. (Book title will probably change...)
In the end, through this complicated plot, I want people to see that... to see how He controls the little things.

Cafes, Korea, Autumn, and a host of characters are right down my isle - so this is what I'm writing about. And I'm writing to show what I believe.

Five different people, four in particular, have had lives that are shadowed and messed up, and in due time, they all in one way or another meet Erica, a girl with her own sad past, who is trying to trust her Savior, but is finding it hard to trust Him. When unexplained events suddenly thrust them into a gripping situation, they have to put all reliance on Him - even though some don't want to admit it; but their view is quickly changed when a member is wounded badly... when one is dying.

Please pray that this book can flower to be a beautiful, creative tale that will show His Providence, the drama of six lives, and the way it all comes together in the end.

Hopefully one day, you can read a published work!
I'm currently on Chapter Five, Page 42, Word Count: 21,676

Fighting!

Excerpt:

As Erica walked home that night, breath visible in the glow of streetlights and dry leaves crunching under foot, she wondered about the boy that had so mysteriously changed his attitude. He'd drifted in and out before, but had never said so much as a 'thank you' to her. Now he was offering to carry back her groceries? Erica stopped briefly on the sidewalk, gazing up at starry skies; the moon was ghostly pale, shining through the baring trees. She wished her father were here to see this. Three and a half years ago was when it happened. They'd both been so happy together, but all that changed.
Erica was tossed out of her thoughts when from the corner of her eye she saw a rapid movement. She jumped, spinning around and staring at the empty sidewalk, the dry leaves drifting across the cement. The yellow glow of a streetlight sillhouetted grabbing branches on the dead trees. What had she seen? Maybe it was just the things she was thinking about. She tried to shrug it off, but the beat of her heart began to fill her ears, louder and louder. A car drove by the deserted road, causing her to step back. Looking around, she saw nothing. Clutching the coat around her, she began to walk again quickly, wishing for the warmth and security of her apartment. The hair on the back of her neck began to prickle as she went, pace growing faster. Why was she scared? There was no one after her... she constantly kept looking behind. Nothing. Just an empty street, only a random car driving by. A random car... her heart leaped when she realized that car had just come by. It's nothing, leave it alone. She tried comforting herself with the thought. But what if it was something? Before she knew it, she was running to the safety of her home. The cold air burned her lungs, but she had to get there. Why am I running!? Her mind screamed. She wouldn't stop. She couldn't. She wanted to be home.
