Father Daughter Retreat 2010!

Yes, I'm back! I'm so sorry I haven't been on; I was off the computer for a while, and didn't have time to give you notification! AH! Sorry. Anyway, dad and I just got back from the Father~Daughter Retreat Monday, and I took a ton of pictures! I've only downloaded mine, so there will be more to come when dad downloads his! The teaching was EXCELLENT! I can't even begin to tell you. It was wonderful and very inspiring. I also got to speak with Mr. Phillips, Mr. Morecraft, Scott Brown, Mr. Botkin and his wonderful daughters, Elizabeth and Anna Sofia, all of which recognized me! I'm going to put the basic pictures up here, but be sure and check out my Photography Blog, as I will be posting others there. I got to see some of my dearest friends, and met some new ones. The food was great, as always, and although it was a little cool, we got to go bike riding and enjoy Callaway Gardens! Oh what fun! I always love the Father~Daughter Retreat. Mr. Phillips brought Virginia along this year, and she's ADORABLE! I took the cutest video of her singing "Turkey in the Straw", one of her favorite songs. She was the star of the show, and attracted a crowd of girls with flashing cameras. :) (Including me, naturally!) The ride was very long, but dad and I had a great time. We also got put in one of the villas there at Callaway. It was SO nice! It had a fireplace and everything else. So wonderful. The High Tea was amazing, and I got to wear my white dress! And, as you're looking at these pictures, you'll see my new haircut. :) I love it. :) Anyway, we had a supercalafradgalisticexpealladocious time, and I hope to go back next year! It was GREAT! AHHH!

...yes. Also, I've decided to take down my followers gadget and comments. The reason? It's prompted me to think, "Oh, look, 88 followers and 20-some comments on this post! They must really like my blog." So. That be the reason. :) But, however, you CAN still follow by clicking the "follow" button on the tool bar up top. You just won't be able to comment. Trust me, it has NOTHING to do with any of you...just me. :) If you do want to contact me, you can just send me an e-mail. :) Love you all!
Here's most of the pictures; I'm going in no particular order, so, that's why they're all scrambled. :)
In Christ,
-Hannah

NEW HAIRCUT!

Yes, I got a new do. Again. I took pictures, but...dad still hasn't downloaded them. It'll be maybe next week or so. I hope to get them up. :) So, now I've got bangs. You'll be shocked. XD MUWHAHAHAAA!
Alright. I'm done. Yes. Quite.
Soooo...Belle. She's doing very good. Getting very fat, and actually a little more sweet. So, that's good. It's cloudy here right now...and it's supposed to rain. Joy. Oh well, at least that's better than snow. It's been pretty nice for the past couple of days; nice enough for me to let my window down a little. I enjoyed it very much, to say the least. =D I'm doing well. Going tomorrow for a post-op. Hopefully they'll say I can climb up in my loftbed now!

Anyway, that's about it. Hope you all are doing well. :)

Crossing

The movie Crossing was made in 2008 by Korean director Kim Tae-Kyun and won the best foreign language film award. About a father who risks his life crossing the North Korean boarder into China to get food for his family, it's a very good movie and will keep you in suspense. Although this film was not made by Christians, it has multiple references to the Bible and Christ throughout. The dialogue is in Korean, but it has English subtitles, which I found easy to keep up with. If you wish to read more about this movie, you can go here.

The movie is in part supported by Voice of the Martyrs, which is where we found it, and gives a fair warning about the film, which I think I should, too: It does have some cursing. They're in the subtitles, so you can't block them out.

The film accurately portrays the horrors of North Korea and what goes on over there, and it was pieced together from stories of actual refugees. Crossing is also based on a true story. Before anyone watches this, I strongly suggest that your parents see it first.

Also, for some reason, the embedded trailer has popped up two times and I can't get the second to go away. Sorry. :)

The Mountains Quake at Your Presence

Isaiah 64

Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down,
That the mountains might quake at Your presence--
As fire kindles the brushwood, as fire causes water to boil--
To make Your name known to Your

adversaries, That the nations may tremble

at Your presence!
When You did awesome things which we did not expect,
You came down, the mountains quaked at Your presence.
For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, Nor has the e
ye seen a God besides You,
Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him.

You meet him who rejoices in doing righteousness,
Who remembers You in You ways.
Behold, You were angry, for we sinned,

We continued in them a long time;
And shall we be saved?
For all of us have become like one who is unclean,

And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment;
And all of us wither like a leaf,
And all our iniquities, like the wind, take
us away.
There is no one who calls on Your name,
Who arouses himself to take hold of You;
For You have hidden Your face from us
And have delivered us into the power of our iniquities.

But now, O LORD, You are our Father,
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.

Do not be angry beyond measure, O LORD,

Nor remember iniquity forever;
Behold, look now, all of us are Your people.
Your holy cities have become a wilderness,
Zion has become a wilderness,
Jerusalem a desolation.
Our holy and beautiful house,
Wh
ere our fathers praised You,
Has
been burned by fire;
And all our pre
cious things have become a ruin.
Will You restrain Yourself at these things,
OH LORD?
Will you keep silent and afflict us beyond measure?

...does anyone know where Spring went?

*groan*
I want Spring. How is it that when you long for something most, it seems as though it will take years for it to come? Grrrrr. I'm tired of the cold. The dry wind. The mounds of white all over the place. I want warm wind, clear skies, and green grass. Nathan and I have decided that this year, we're going to get in top physical shape. Last year, we had started going on walks, and then bike riding. This year, we're going to do walks, bike riding, AND jogging. I'm looking forward to it. :) Also, another thing I'M looking forward to, is Belle having her baby in May! That will be so neat! *is
hoping to be there when it happens, camera in hand* Anyway. Yeah. The only bad thing about Belle having her baby in May, is we'll miss the Homeschool conference we usually go to each year, and there's a chance we'll miss Memorial Day at Scott Brown's farm. Maybe, at least, we can make it to that. The only catch is, Belle is DUE on that very day. She probably won't have it right then, and it could even run a month early or a month late....who knows. I'm just hoping we can make it. Also, near the end of May, mom and I are going to my cousin's wedding down in Georgia, and I'm supposed to keep the Bride's Book, which means I'd need a nice dress. Well, guess where the first place was mom and I went to look for one? The thrift store. We looked for a while, couldn't find anything, and just as we were about to run out of hope...PRESTO! We found the GORGEOUS white dress, with an empire waist line, princess seems, three white roses on the lower back, scoop necked, floor length, AND short sleeves! YIPPEE! Mom went today to pick it up. It's so beautiful! I'll be sure I have someone take pictures of it, and put them up on my blog so you all can see it. Speaking of pictures. I had promised you pictures from the hospital stay. I had also promised a picture of me with Pippin in a sling. I also intended to put up pictures of a photo-shoot I did called "Wind Blown"....but....dad's computer crashed and he hasn't been able to download them. So. His new computer should come next week, and he should be able to download them, I hope. When he does....prepare to be picture bombed. =)
Anyway....yes....I'm rambling. You want to hear something really random? I saw a Volkswagen bug that had monster truck wheels on it, massive headlights on top, and flame pa
int running down the side. Cool, eh? :)

Alright...I'm done. Good evening. :)
In Christ,
-Hannah

P.S. Another random note: Sherlock Holmes rules! ...and Dr. Watson, naturally.

Girls are Like Apples...

A really neat little something I found on Google today!

"Girls are
like apples...
the best ones are
at the top of the trees.
The boys don't want to reach
for the good ones because they are
afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead, they just get the rotten
apples that are on the ground
that aren't as good, but
easy. So the apples
at the top think
there is some
thing
wrong
with
them,
when, in
reality, they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree..."

Staples: That Was Easy!!!

Have you ever heard the logo "Staples: That was Easy!"???
Well...now that's my logo! =) We just got back from the doctor, and I'm hyyyyper. (Don't ask why...I don't know!) Anyway, the appointment was to take the staples out, and as soon as we got back to the room, I was n-n-n-n-nervous. The nurse came in, was really nice, had me lay out on the table thingy, and took out her *gathp* PLIERS! AAAAAHHH! ...no panic there, right? :) She just took 'em right out, and it didn't hurt much at all. (Like, a pinch or something...) The most hilarious part was there's been this little....dent....in my stomach right above the incision, and I asked,
"What's that?"
She starts poking it.
"...that's a good question."
AAAAAHHH! I WAS RIGHT! THE DOCTOR LEFT HIS WATCH IN ME!!!!!! ...not really. She said it should go away soon...I just need to give everything time to...ahem...move back to its original spot! =)

Dat's me day, folks. :)

ttfn!

-Hannah
