For some reason, I didn't think this movie would be very good....
WAS I WRONG! It's now one of my absolute favorites! I'm a horse fanatic anyway, so this really made me giddy!
My absolute and most favorite part is when they quote Job at the beginning, about the horse and his strength. It was really, truly breath taking.

Wedding Dress

Well, I attended my cousin's wedding yesterday, and got to be the photographer!
I had my shutter set on multiple shot, which means that for as long as I held the button down, it would take picture after picture after PICTURE. (As in, click-click-click-click-click...you get the idea.)
Anyway, it was VERY small, with just my family, my other cousin, and my "mae-ma". (That's what we call her.)
My cousin's name is Jamie, and his bride's name is Jamie, so that got pretty confusing! I loooved taking the pictures! Here's a few of them for you to see. I really enjoyed it immensely!

Bright Lights

I got this the other night - sooo pretty! Isn't it? Ah...I love it.

Put Yo' Hands UP!

Heeey! Look at what I made! *screams*
I looove this thing! I made it with some modeling clay I had left over! I've never sculpted a hand before - this was my first try! Yes, yes - some of you think this is rather morbid...but...I LIKE IT!
I JUST finished the bottom side of the hand a few minutes ago, which is why it's still wet - and I've still got dry clay on my fingers!

Ah man...I LOVE this thing. I really, really do. ^.^

Dancing in the Rain

Woot! It's RAAAINIIIING! (And do I mean RAINING!) Sheets of rain are coming down! It's 10:50 in the morning and it looks like it's about 8:00 at night! It's dark! The wind is howling!
Last night, it was sooo cool - I was sitting in my bed with my little lamp on, reading through my journal, and listening to the wind POUNDING the side of the house. Ah! It was amazing! I really, really enjoyed it!
Mom just hollered from the kitchen, "It's NASTY!"
Yes, it is, but I love it. ^.^

I've been sketching a lot lately - last night, while we watched an old movie called "Attack", I grabbed my book and sketched my old time ninja friend, "Snake Eyes". (He's very important to me, you know...)
It turned out very well, if I do say so myself!

Today I believe I shall sketch some more, read, play thunder-centered themes on my keyboard, and putter about my room. I love my room! It's like my own little house that I'm in charge of. And, to my d-lite, I'll be hearing from my best friend this afternoon, and another dear one from far away!

This morning, Nathan and I went to take care of the horses in this horrifically wonderful storm, and after we were done with that, we danced in the rain. (Well, at least I did...Nathan SPLASHED in the rain...) It was sooo fun! Especially since I had that dream the other night where I really DID get to dance in the rain! It was GREAT! God is so good - Life is good! I'm haaaappppyyy!!!!! *bounce bounce*

Well, I'm off. I'm gonna grab me some coffee, since I was NOT a coffee prince this morning in getting it first thing, and then I'm going to go in my room and adore the rain.

My Friend

 

Friends are awesome. I mean - REALLY. Have you ever thought about it? 

I have so many types of friends. One is my absolute Best, and we do everything. Another, like this girl up here, I don't get to see often, just like my Best, but we have stayed close, even after all this time! We talk about horses, amazing music, how it's awesome to capture the "paintings by God" in our pictures. Others are just general chatting - yet others, I am blessed to be a light to. The girls that I know that are hurting and need help. That I can pray with them and read Psalms with them for almost an hour and a half on the phone, because we're so far away! 

I love, LOVE my friends. Another of my friends told me, as we were discussing "Best Friends", is that even though you only have ONE, TRUE "Best Friend", you have a ton of other friends - and just because you have a "Best Friend" doesn't mean you dislike the others. You have a certain amount of love for ALL of your friends - you may have a greater amount for one over the other, but that in no way means that you don't love that person! 

Friends are amazing. True friends are the song in your heart. 

To all of my friends - I! LOVE! YOU!

Today I did some super "tidy upping" in my room today. I moved things around, and just enjoyed myself while I listened to my "Epic" CD, and then once I got tired of that, I listened to some of my others that including "Lacrimosa", "Rising Empire", and "Siren's Call" - some of my favorite orchestra/vocal pieces of music.  =)

Anyway, I just thought you'd like to see that sketch up there - I had fun doing it!

My Girl

Yeah, these are my girls.
I decided to post some of my chicks - only a few are actually MINE, so...here they are. ^.^

Fighting!

So, I'm sure you've heard me use that expression a lot. I really like it, because it's true.
Not "fighting" as in trying to get at each other's necks, but "FIGHTING!" as in keep going!
It really is true, you know. I say that to myself a lot because I have to remind myself to keep going.
For instance - here's one thing I'm working on.
Our body is the temple of God, right? Shouldn't we work to keep it in good shape?

1 Cor 9:26-27:
Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air;  but I discipline my body and keep it in control.

(That's only part of a verse, by the way...)
But this is what I'm working on. "I discipline my body and keep it under control."
We shouldn't let our appearances just rot, should we??? If we take care of our bodies, not only does it do us wonders, but it's honoring God! And no, I'm not saying go anorexic to lose weight...that's a no no. I mean WATCH what you eat and don't gorge yourself! Our family's back on the "low-carb" diet, and I feel SO much better! More energy! More strength! More dance power! :P (I like to dance...)
God blessed us with the bodies we have...we should take care of them.
Wash your hair - don't let it get careless.
Wash your body with good soaps - take care of everything from your face to your feet.
Feel fresh in the mornings. Dress up, if you have to!
Drink lots of water - don't feed yourself junk food.

Don't JUST take care of your bodies, but take care of your souls, too, friends.
When you get up, just don't do your physical exercise - do your spiritual exercise, too!


Anyway - I just wanted to say that. Thus...Fighting! =D
Keep fighting, friends - you'll be rewarded one day!

P.S. It's POURING here! Really! 3:39 and it looks like it's about 7:30! Dark! Sheets of rain! Storms! Thunder!!!
(And last night it did the same thing - I forgot to close my window, and was woken up at 1:53 in the morning by rumbling thunder. I rolled over, looked down at my window, and saw my curtains billowing in, and it lightninged! It was soooo cool!
