The Simple Woman's Day Book

For Today: October 30th, 2008
Outside my window: Nice, cold sunny day. The wind is blowing and the birds are headin' South! :)
I am thinking: About lunch...I'm hungry! (Having Denty Moor Beef Stew!) :P
I am thankful for: Cold, windy evenings around the fire sipping hot chocolate!
From the kitchen: Nothing really; water fountain, radio going, my brother making explosion noises with his Legos.:)
I am wearing: Long, gray skirt with a pink coral three-quarter length shirt.
I am reading: Stepping Heavenward and my Bible.
I am hoping: That Christmas would get here soon!:D
I am hearing: My keyboard, my brother, mom in the kitchen, my little sister and Classical Music.
Around the house: Nice and cozy compared to the cold, windy day outside!
One of my favorite things: My Purity Locket from Vision Forum.
I accomplished since last week: Trying to be nice to my little sister! :P :)
A few plans for the rest of the week: Oh, nothing much; save hoping to go riding Saturday on Belle. Oh, and finishing my math that I got behind on.
Here is a picture thought I'm sharing with you: (off Google... AGAIN)

Scripture For Thought

Hello girls (and guys)
I usually do not post on Sunday, because it is the Lord's Sabbath and it is to remain holy;
but, I have permission from my father to do this post because it has to do with the Bible and God's word.
I heard this chapter off of a CD that we listened to on the way to church today.
This verse is frightening, to say the least, and is something to think heavily on.
Quoting from Isaiah chapter 3 verses one through 12:

"For behold, the Lord God of
hosts is going to remove
from Jerusalem and Judah
both supply and support, the
whole supply of bread
and the whole supply of
water;
The mighty man and the
warrior,
the judge and the prophet,
the diviner and the elder,
the captain of fifty and the
honorable man,
the counselor and the expert
artisan,
and the skillful enchanter.
And I will make mere lads
their princes,
and capricious children will
rule over them,
and the people will be
oppressed,
each one by another, and
each one by his neighbor;
the youth will storm against
the elder
and the inferior against the
honorable.
When a man lays hold of his
brother in his father's
house, saying,
'You have a cloak, you shall
be our ruler,
and these ruins will be
under you charge,'
He will protest on that day,
saying,
'I will not be your healer,
for in my house there is
neither bread nor cloak;
you should not appoint me
ruler of the people.'
For Jerusalem has stumbled
and Judah has fallen,
because their speech and
their actions are against the
Lord,
to rebel against His glorious
presence.
The expression on their faces
bears witness against them,
and they display their sin
like Sodom;
they do not even conceal it.
Woe to them!
For they have brought evil
on themselves.
Say to the righteous that it
will go well with them,
for they will eat the fruit of
their actions.
Woe to the wicked! It will go
badly with him,
for what he deserves will be
done to him.
O My people! Their
oppressors are children,
and women rule over them.
O My people! Those who
guide you lead you astray
and confuse the direction of your paths
..."

And it goes on.
This chapter means a lot, but the part that really jumped out at me was "Their oppressors are children and women rule over them"; how plain does it get? This goes SO well with today's world! How many children are being disrespectful to their parents and telling them what to do? And Hillary Clinton, along with Sarah Palin and all of the other women who are in authority over states and cities, schools, governors and so on? The place of the women is in the home, where God ordained it to be.
Please think on this, give it thought and pray to God that he would deliver us!

Amazing Pro-Life Video!

PLEASE, please watch this video! IT IS WORTH YOUR TIME!

Musical Mondays and a few changes.

Um, sorry about taking the fall background off...it was giving me lots of trouble!
The HTML wasn't working right, so I had to take it off.
Anyway, I didn't get very many comments on 'Overcome', but here's what I thought;
When I here it, I see snow falling quietly, and a black horse walking in a huge snow covered field.
Not much, I know, but that's what I saw.
Let's see, okay, today's song is 'Lothlorian' by Enya. This song was originally written for the movie 'Lord of the Rings', but the director didn't take it, but replaced it with a different one. Personally, I would have put it in the movie, but I'm not Peter Jackson. (Thankfully!:)
Here it is, please tell me what you think. Please!!!
The song is towards the end of the playlist.

Thanks.

New Fall Background!

Hello girls,
So, what do you think of my new blog background?
I thought it was kinda neat, but from all the trouble I experienced while trying to put it on...I don't think that I'll do it again next year! :P
Anyway, tell me what you think.

What Autumn Means to Me:

Sitting in the den with my family, a fire burning in the hearth.
Drinking hot chocolate or coffee after feeding the horses on a cold day.
Snuggled up in my big, red, fleece blanket while sitting in front of the fire.
Bundling up to go and feed the horses.
Stepping outside for a quick second to get a better glimpse of the rising sun early in the morning
and then jumping back in to the warmth of the house.
Picking fall leaves to decorate our table with.
Eating hot, steaming soup around the table for super, maybe some candles lit as the centerpiece.
And my favorite part of all: slipping on a long, warm nightgown and crawling in to my bed with lots and lots of blankets and all of my stuffed animals to keep me warm! :)

Overcome By David Nevue

Well, I was a bit surprised that I didn't get many comments on "Requiem for a Dream."
Personally, I really like that song, but, then again, I'm not every body.
Okay, now, this song is called "Overcome", it's by David Nevue. I have no earthly idea who this guy is, but I had heard some of his music on another blog and really liked it, so I looked him up on Playlist and found some of his songs...I really like them, a lot of them are peaceful and relaxing, so here is one that I liked.
With this one, you don't have to go to the bottom of the Playlist, it's just the second song on there.
Tell me what you think.

-Rose.

P.S. My thoughts on Requiem for a Dream by X-Ray Dog:
1. This song is definitely NOT relaxing!:)
2. It is most certainly 'battle based', immediately putting battle images into your head.
3. The mix of drums, symbols and violin, I have found for the most part, always create a fast,
battle filled and dramatic piece of music...this song has a mixture of all and the result is a fast,
action filled piece. Unlike Crusaders, it has more 'battle' like music in it, and is not as mournful, but like Crusaders, is a very dramatic song....once again, my type! :) :P
